SSH Access
Telnet is disabled on the server for security reasons. Remote access is available by SSH only and requires approval from the server admin.

For SSH to your account we recommend Putty:
Putty is a telnet client that uses both SSH and regular telnet connections. This program runs as an executable application and doesn't install onto your system. You can download it at: http://www.tucows.com/preview/195286.html

Enter your domain name or IP address for the 'Host Name' and click the 'SSH' radio button.
Now click 'Open', you will then be prompted for a username and password, enter your Cpanel user name and password.

Useful SSH Commands:

ls - lists directory contents
ls -l - shows file details
ls -a shows hidden files
pwd - shows the current directory path
chmod - changes permissions, i.e. 'chmod 755 formmail.pl' makes the formmail.pl script executable.
cd - changes directory
cd .. - moves back a directory
quota - shows your disk space allocation
du -hcs * - shows the space used by your files
